The recent news that the title of book six would be Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storgé have been floating around the Web for a few days, but author J.K. Rowling has confirmed what many fans have suspected all along - that the rumors about the title were a hoax.
According to her spokesperson the title is "definitely a hoax" and now Rowling has updated her site with her take on the rumor, as well as answered some frequently asked questions people have sent her -- check out the FAQ & Rumours section.
In her own words:
I am trying very hard not to feel offended that anyone thought this was possible. 'Storgé', for crying out loud. Come on, people, get a grip.
Also, thanks to MuggleNet for letting us know that the 'Do Not Disturb' sign has been removed from the door and it opens to reveal a brick wall -- will hitting the right sequence reveal something (like the real title to book 6)? Go and see!
