Last July we were one of the first to tell you that Warner Bros. had plans to pull all of the first four Harry Potter DVDs off store shelves by early 2007. The first three movies were pulled from shelves by December 29, 2006, with Goblet of Fire following suit on February 9, 2007. Earlier this morning WB announcedopens in new window that all the movies would be available in HD sometime this year.

According to the release:

Warner Home Video HD DVDs offer resolution six times higher than standard definition DVDs, as well as extraordinarily vibrant contrast and color and beautifully crisp sound. HD DVDs also provide a higher level of interactivity, with instant access to extra features via a seamless menu-bar where viewers can enjoy features without leaving or interrupting the film.

If you still need to purchase the DVDs or need extra copies there may be some available in the HPANA storeopens in new window and purchasing through our store helps out the site.
