JKR selected to receive the Edinburgh Award

JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, is set to receiveopens in new window the Edinburgh Award on Friday evening in a ceremony in Scotland.

The awardopens in new window was established to recognize an individual’s outstanding achievements and contribution to the city of Edinburgh, and was presented to author Ian Rankin last year.
