Potter auction helps Romanian orphans

During her stay in Romania, Harry Potter author JK Rowling participated in an auction in which six signed copies of Half-Blood Prince were auctioned off for 8,000 - 17,000 euros ($9,800 - $20,800). Over 170,000 euros ($208,675) was raised, with the money helping orphans throughout Europe.
On a side-note, Ms. Rowling paid 8,500 euros ($10,400) for a football shirt belonging to Brazilian star Claudio Taffarel.
