Harry Potter composer John Williamsopens in new window has been nominatedopens in new window for a Classical Brit Awardopens in new window for his work on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Mr. Williams is up for the new category, soundtrack composer award, against Nigel Hess for Ladies in Lavender and Jocelyn Pook for the Merchant of Venice.

The Classical Brits award ceremony will be held on May 25th at London's Royal Albert Hall.
