'Prisoner' vying for BAFTA awards

It was announcedopens in new window this morning that Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is in the running for the best British picture award at this year's BAFTA's. The other films nominated include: Dead Man's Shoes, My Summer of Love, Shaun of the Dead and Vera Drake.

The British public will also be able to voteopens in new window for their favorite blockbuster award which will be between Shrek 2, The Incredibles, Troy and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

UPDATEopens in new window: Other awards the movie are up for include Make-Up & Hair, Achievement in Special Visual Effects and Production Design.

The BAFTA's will be awarded on February 12, two weeks before the Oscars.
