According to a report from Dark Horizons, Patrick Doyle has been confirmed as the composer of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, not Jarvis Cocker as was reported last week in the Sun.
According to Dark Horizons:
Patrick Doyle has been confirmed as the composer, not Jarvis Cocker as reported yesterday. Cocker is involved in a minor capacity though.
The Sun reported last week that director Mike Newell wanted "to make sure his movie appealed more to a generation of music-mad teens." While a unnamed source from Warner Bros. was quoted as saying:
"Everyone here is really excited about Jarvis being involved in Goblet of Fire. He is a very talented musician who is a big fan of movies and knows exactly how they work. You may just think Jarvis is the bloke in specs who fronted Pulp but he is a man with many hidden depths."
Dark Horizons does not quote any source for this information so until we have official word from Warner Bros. please treat this as an unconfirmed rumor.
