Rowling’s website a hit with fans

JK Rowling’s new website has logged an amazing 220 million fan visits since its inception just eight weeks ago, with the home page receiving over 27 million hits a week. The number of website "hits" will soon surpass the 260 million books that Rowling has sold in the past seven years.

Fans from over 236 countries have visited the site and helped generate over 600 "hits" per second when Rowling announced the title of the sixth book.
