Harry Potter author JK Rowling is scheduled to appear at the Edinburgh International Book Festival on Sunday, August 15 at 9 a.m. Her appearance at the festival is to celebrate the release of the paperback edition of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
JK Rowling says:
"I’m really delighted to be appearing at the Festival on its 21st birthday. Even though I have actually done an event at the Festival for every Harry book so far, it’s been four years since I last appeared and I have missed this kind of more intimate event where I can take questions from children and meet them afterwards."
According to Rowling's site tickets are not being sold at the official site for the event rather they can be obtained by submitting a ballot which is found here and by buying the Herald newspaper today or the Sunday Herald tomorrow, ballots need to be received by Tuesday, July 20 and winners will be notified by Friday, July 23.
