Rowling sixth on Forbes Celebrity 100 list

Last year J.K. Rowling was ranked 15th on Forbes magazine Celebrity 100 List, but with the release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and the latest movie, Rowling
has moved up the list to number 6.
Mel Gibson was # 1 and rounding out the top ten in order: Tiger Woods, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, the Rolling Stones, J.K.Rowling, Michael Jordan, Bruce Springsteen, Steven Spielberg & Johnny Depp.

Rowling sold 60 million books last year, riding on the release of Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, the fifth installment in the boy wizard series. Her worldwide tally now stands at 250 million books sold.
