Harry Potter fan fiction and art site FictionAlley has been nominated for a prestigious "Best Community" Webby Award in the eighth annual event, to be held May 12.
"The members of Team FictionAlley are beyond thrilled by the nomination," said Heidi Tandy, president of FAWC, Inc., the non-profit organization that operates the site. "But we really feel that the nod belongs to all the authors, reviewers and Parkies - they are the community behind FA."
Other sites in the "Best Community" category include Friendster and the ever-popular LiveJournal.
The awards have been called "the online Oscars" by Time magazine, and puts FA in very good company. Google, BBC News and Apple's iTunes are all nominated in other categories.
