Group founder Meghan Mulkerin e-mailed us:

We will be hosting a Yule Ball on Sunday December 7th from 7:30-10:30 in the Kirkhof Center's Grand River Room on campus.

There will be a string quartet, dancing, costume contest, make your own wand and golden snitch, an interactive defense against the dark arts maze, trivia, and educational PowerPoint slides about mythology and lots more.

Previous gatherings have included a Make Your Own Wand Night, Mythology Night, trivia, Harry Potter Pictionary, and a Halloween Party where members played the scary-sounding Avada Kedavra, their own form of flashlight tag.

The group, started by GVSU student and soon-to-be 19-year-old Mulkerin, has about 30 members.
