Dumbledore discovers a quicker way to connect

The head of Hogwarts school of magic, Dumbledore, swapped owl post for modern technology yesterday on the set of the new Harry Potter film in Glencoe. Michael Gambon, who plays the character in the third installment from JK Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, was spotted using a mobile phone during a break in the filming.

And despite the lack of rain, the actor gave his character some welly. The unusually dry weather saw crowds of Harry Potter fans line up along the single-track road leading to the film set in the hope of catching a glimpse of the stars.

Some people used cameras built into their mobile phones to send images of the site to friends.
