Gambon as Dumbledore
Thanks very much to Geri for these stories from The Daily Record and The Sun:
The new Professor Dumbledore appeared on the Harry Potter film set yesterday - complete with "magic" beard protector. Sir Michael Gambon donned a special cover to keep his long chin hair dry in the rain as he emerged from Hagrid's Hut in Glencoe.
Gambon will replace the late Richard Harris in the role of Hogwarts headmaster for the new film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Sir Michael, 62, is best known for his roles as Maigret and The Singing Detective.
Actor Robert Hardy, 67, was also on set yesterday. He starred as Siegfried in All Creatures Great and Small and continues his role as Cornelius Fudge, Minister of Magic, in the new film.
