Reader Alexandra says she saw the movie Charlotte Gray, which stars new Dumbledore actor Michael Gambon, and thinks he'll do well as the sparkling Hogwarts headmaster:

Michael Gambon
Last week, my [school class] went to Washington D.C. One of the biggest reasons to go there for us was to see the Holocaust Museum (just our luck, the Harry Potter thing from the Holocaust Museum you talked about on HPANA happened two days after we left).
On our way up there - since we were going to see the Holocaust Museum - we watched a movie about the Holocaust called Charlotte Gray (Amazon, IMDb
). It was a good movie, so I suggest seeing it. Even if you don't see it for the Holocaust story, watch it for the two known actors in it. One was Cate Blanchett (Galadriel in LOTR) and the other was Michael Gambon
! People were staring at me and my friend as we screamed loudly, seeing the name of the new Dumbledore onscreen.
Anyway, he is a very good actor, especially when he is playing a caring person, like his character in Charlotte Gray. As long as they get his appearance as close to Richard Harris as possible, he will be very good as Dumbledore. He has that very caring feel to him. I didn't want to see PoA because I didn't think he would be a good Dumbledore, but now, I think he will be, and I am going to see it.
Great to know! Thanks Alexandra.
