'Order of the Phoenix' surpasses 'GoF' in domestic box office sales

After 83 days in release Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has edged outopens in new window Goblet of Fire ticket sales in the U.S. and is now the second highest grossing domestic entry in the franchise with $290,189,393. Worldwide takings for the movie currently stand at $933.88 million.

The first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, still holds the record with $976,475,550 million in ticket sales worldwide.
