Tickets to the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie are selling faster than those for Spider-Man 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End accordingopens in new window to Fandango. The fifth movie had sold out for Tuesday's midnight shows and was accounting for 90% of Fandango's weekly ticket sales (as of 2:00 pm PT yesterday).

According to Ted Hong, Fandango VP of Marketing:

-- 95% are planning to buy or have already pre-purchased a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
-- 80% said they would buy a ticket to a movie starring Daniel Radcliffe where he does not play Potter
-- 85% of ticket-buyers say the top reason for buying a Phoenix ticket is because they've seen all of the other Harry Potter movies
-- 76% of Phoenix ticket-buyers on Fandango are female
-- 72% of Phoenix ticket-buyers on Fandango are under the age of 35
-- 65% of the ticket-buyers do not have children
