Dan Radcliffe from the Harry Potter movies has sent a quick note
to one of his fan sites thanking them for birthday donations to Demelza House, Dan's charity of choice. On numerous occasions, Dan has asked his fans to donate to this charity instead of sending him gifts and this year fans raised a total of £1,721.83 ($3,228.35) in his name.
Dan's letter notes:
I am once again thrilled that, through your website, so much money has been raised for Demelza House. This is simply fantastic and I thank each and everyone of you for your kindness and generosity. I am delighted that you have decided to make donations to Demelza House rather than sending me presents. I think the kaleidoscope idea is brilliant and can't wait to see the finished project before it goes to Demelza House.
