Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has won the ShockWaves NME 2006 Award, beating out Batman Begins and Sin City under the category of Best Film. As previously reported, the NME Awards are decided upon by the results of the viewers' online vote.
Since production is under way for the Order of the Phoenix film (and the event was alt-music centric), Jarvis Cocker, who portrayed the lead singer of the Yule Ball band featured in the Goblet of Fire, was on hand to pick up the award on behalf of the movie's cast and crew.
