This year's Emmy nominations were announced this morning and Harry Potter stars Emma Thompsonopens in new window, Alan Rickmanopens in new window and John Cleeseopens in new window have each been nominated for an Emmy Awardopens in new window.

Ms. Thompson was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie for HBO's Angels In Americaopens in new window, Mr. Rickman for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Miniseries Or A Movie for Something The Lord Madeopens in new window also from HBO and John Cleese for Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series for his guest appearances on Will & Graceopens in new window.

The awards show will air on ABC on Sunday, September 19.
