ABC's May 9 presentation of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone has deleted scenes edited back into the film by director Chris Columbus.
The disclosure was revealed in a Video Store Magazine article, Wizard News reported today. "It will be the first time the movie has been seen this way," said a Warner Bros. spokesperson. "Director Chris Columbus went back and added 20 minutes of footage to the actual movie."
U.S. television network ABC is debuting Sorcerer's Stone on Sunday, May 9 in a four hour telecast that will feature the extended version of the film, interstitials with the movie's stars in which they take viewers behind the scenes, and a 10-minute sneek peak at Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, which hits theaters this summer.
