Update: Stars pay tribute to actor Harris

Actor Richard Harrisopens in new window, who died last year, was remembered by family, friends and fellow stars in a memorial service opens in new windowat the Strand Theatre in London last night. Harris, who was 72, became a star in the 1960s and enjoyed a comeback as Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films.

Richard Griffiths opens in new window- who played Harry Potter's Uncle Vernon - was among those present, while Irish stars Liam Neeson and Gabriel Byrne were also reported to be among about 300 people at the event.

The event which had been organised by Harris' sons Damian, Jared and Jamie took a look at his 40-year career.

They included Zoe Wanamakeropens in new window, who portrayed Madam Hooch in the first film, and Daniel Radcliffeopens in new window, Harry Potter himself (who is incorrectly captioned to be standing next to Rupert in one of the pictures).
