Today’s kids want to make their own monetary decisions, but when they are looking for a financial role model, although Bill Gates and JK Rowling inspire some youngsters, most still think that mum knows best, according to research by Abbey National Youth Banking.
... The most financially inspiring ‘celebrity’ amongst kids is business mogul Bill Gates, while other popular role models include Harry Potter author JK Rowling, Virgin boss Richard Branson and music industry millionaires Madonna, Posh Spice and P Diddy.
