From Business Wire:
With the recent release of highly anticipated books, such as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling and Hillary Clinton's [i]Living History[i], Visa USA today announced that the number of Visa credit and debit transactions in bookstores rose 25.6 percent in the first three weeks of June compared to the same period in 2002.
Visa cardholders spent more than $435 million at bookstores since the beginning of this month, setting the stage for what could be the biggest book-buying season in Visa's history with major releases this summer by such best-selling authors as Margaret Atwood, Candace Bushnell and Tom Clancy.
That actually is quite a chunk of money, no? Read more at the link.
