The "Harry Potter Lexicon" book must halt publication, a U.S. judge ordered today, ruling in favor of author JK Rowling and Warner Bros. in their case against RDR Books. Vote
Harry Potter: Wanted dead or alive
When last we checked (that would be March 2005), a slim majority of fans said Harry Potter would die in the last book in JK Rowling's series. The informal poll, conducted by HPANA, garnered over 45,000 votes and was even cited in an article in The Sun. With Rowling's recent revelations about upcoming deaths, we decided to ask again: Dead meat, or life so sweet?

HPANA turns 3, becomes head of Hogwarts
After starting humbly with a single web page on my home computer on October 15, 2002, HPANA has since exploded into an international, award-winning "Harry Potter" fan site. Incredibly, today marks our third year online at hpana.com. To celebrate, I'll answer an age-old question: Why the heck did I call it HPANA? In other news, I'm opening a kitten farm.

Dan wasn't naked for prefect bath scene
Tabloids love exploiting (and paraphrasing and exaggerating) quotes about celebrities to hype up stories and increase readership. Doing so about "Harry Potter" isn't new, and the Daily Record hit a home run yesterday by claiming star Daniel Radcliffe is "dreading his naked screen debut" in November's "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." Jenna from DanRadcliffe.com, from whose interview the Daily Record based their story, tells it straight.
