"DETAILS" magazine, which features "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe on its cover this month, is running a contest to win a trip for two to the New York premiere of "Half-Blood Prince" next summer. Entrants must be at least 21 years of age.

Universal Orlando has just posted new concept art for the Three Broomsticks pub at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, currently under construction in Florida. Also available is a new poll asking fans which magical refreshment they would prefer to order (one is already heavily favored in the results).

Daniel Radcliffe signs record deal in New York
"Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe has signed a deal to produce two albums under New York label VMA Records. A departure from his publicly known musical preferences, Radcliffe will try his hand at techno/Dutch pop style songs. Radcliffe began an infatuation with the genre in 2007 and already recorded demos available on a shadow band's MySpace profile.

UPDATE: 'Harry Potter' anime coming to TV in 2012
It is expected to be announced today that an agreement between Warner Bros., JK Rowling and Akira Toriyama, the creator of "Dragon Ball," has been reached for the development of a "Harry Potter" anime TV series to air on ABC in the U.S. beginning fall 2012. UPDATE: FireFox.org has some exclusive news and pictures.

HP Fan Trips online quest begins week three

'Potter' trio discuss 'HBP,' talk more on Dumbledore news
In a new interview with "Harry Potter" trio Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint they discuss the upcoming sixth movie, "Half-Blood Prince," the actress playing Lavender Brown (Rupert gives her first name) and the success of the last film. They and David Yates and Evanna Lynch also add additional comments on Dumbledore's character revelation.

Help "teach" 20Q™ about the world of "Harry Potter"
Mattel and Warner Bros. need your help. Later this year they will release the new 20Q™ "Harry Potter" game but want the fans to help out by asking the game questions about characters, places and objects from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" so that the newly released game will encompasses all the books.

UK residents can win a PS3 with 'Potter' knowledge
ASDA Entertainment in the UK is giving away a Sony PlayStation 3 and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" video game to someone who can answer a fairly easy question about the "Potter" universe.

Harry Potter lives through book 7, say fans
The eponymous character in JK Rowling's record breaking "Harry Potter" series will live through the end of the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," say over 65,000 fans in HPANA's second quiz on the matter. The poll, counting over 100,000 unique votes, revealed that a fairly even 60%/40% split over many months feel that Harry will not die in book 7.

Hogwarts styled reality show
Everyone seems to be jumping on the Potter bandwagon. British TV station, the BBC, is set to launch a reality series called "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," set in a "Harry Potter"-style boarding school. Children participating in the show will learn card tricks, Latin spells and illusions and each week will perform for "magic mentors" who will judge their performances and decide who must leave.

Harry Potter: Wanted dead or alive
When last we checked (that would be March 2005), a slim majority of fans said Harry Potter would die in the last book in JK Rowling's series. The informal poll, conducted by HPANA, garnered over 45,000 votes and was even cited in an article in The Sun. With Rowling's recent revelations about upcoming deaths, we decided to ask again: Dead meat, or life so sweet?

NY Post wants 20 'Potter' reviews in 12 hours
The New York Post has asked us to find 20 super-fast readers who can finish "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" by 2 p.m. Saturday and provide their take on the tome. Reviewers will get their thoughts printed with a photo! Kids and teens are encouraged to participate but they will also accept adult reviews. The bottom line: you must live in New York and you must read the book in less than 14 hours.

Spellbound! wants you to come, stay, help out
Spellbound! is looking for a few good wizards (and witches) to help with operations and whatnot at their huge book 6 party in Mt. Prospect, IL on July 15. The event features exclusive activities and attractions and volunteers are needed to help ensure a fun time is had by all. Hotel rooms are also still available at a vastly discounted rate of just $69/night (down from $189/night!) but space is no longer guaranteed as the remaining rooms have been released.
