JK Rowling

Win tickets to see JK Rowling in NYC    
HPANA is pleased to offer eight free tickets to see JK Rowling, Stephen King, John Irving and special guests at Radio City Music Hall in New York on August 1. The authors, who organized the charity fundraising event, will be reading from their books and answering fan questions. It will be Rowling's first reading to a U.S. audience in six years.

'Half-Blood Prince', whole-hearted discussion    
Come and join over 40,000 registered HPANA members to discuss and analyze the book at your own pace! In order to protect the innocent, the site will be going to "read-only" mode July 15 at 7:01 p.m. EST, but also opening a brand-new chapter-by-chapter forum for fans who want to talk about "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" as they're reading over the weekend. Regular service will be restored late Sunday, July 17 or early Monday, July 18.

Thanks to generous contributions from fans, HPANA has purchased a top-of-the-line Dell server and taken up residence in a new datacenter as of today! Will Harry Potter live or die?    
JK Rowling's star wizard will die by the end of her "Harry Potter" book series, according to a slim 53% majority of over 15,000 votes cast in HPANA's informal poll. Most fans indicated Harry would sacrifice himself to save loved ones before the end of book seven. We asked, "Will Harry Potter survive the series and become an adult?" The author has playfully hinted at her leading character's demise. About 10% of fans agreed that if Rowling didn't kill him off, she'd be hounded for life to write more than the seven novels she's already promised.
