Shyamalan offered first 'Potter' movie    
During the press day for M. Night Shyamalan's latest movie "Lady in the Water," the director was asked if his new studio Warner Bros., who release the "Harry Potter" movies, had tried to convince him to direct one of the last two films in the series. Shyamalan commented that he had been asked to direct the first movie, but due to filming constraints had to decline.

Rupert to appear in 'Generation Fame'    
Rupert Grint fans in the UK will have a chance to catch the actor (a.k.a. Ronald Weasley in the "Harry Potter" films) on the BBC One, New Year's Day. "Generation Fame", a celebrity game show hosted by Graham Norton, reportedly has Rupert (along with a relative) as one of its contestants.

It's a very 'Harry' White House Christmas

Rowling in the Simpsons    
ExpresoHogwarts has a first look of the Harry Potter author in cartoon form within the world of "The Simpsons". JK Rowling is slated to appear on the Nov. 23 episode on FOX.

Harry included in new citizenship test    
If you're planning on applying for British citizenship, you'd best know your Harry Potter, among other things. In a controversial Home Office plan, 10 free, two-hour language and civic classes will be offered to immigrants. And those failing the tests will not get a British passport or be allowed to vote.
