Rowling into town

HARRY Potter author JK Rowling will be given a second chance to weave her magic spell on Belfast when she arrives back in town this summer.
For the last time JK turned up for a book signing in the city, only 30 people turned up!
"To be fair it was September 1997, and the lady was still comparatively unknown," says Easons book agent, Paul Cushenan.
"Had she arrived a month later, it would have been a different story.
"For only weeks after her Belfast appearance, the Philosopher's Stone took off and everyone was screaming for the author.
"In Belfast, we had two parties of school kids to meet and greet her, but her book signing wasn't exactly crowded."
It is going to be so different this time as she promotes Potter 5 - The Order of the Phoenix (Bloomsbury £16.99).
"This book is hot," says Cushenan.
"We have more advance orders for Harry No 5 than we had for Roy Keane's autobiography.
"There are dozens of phone calls every week asking if JK is coming back."
JK Rowling has become a multi-millionaire, got married and had a family since she was last here.
And Easons are trying to arrange for her to come back on a Saturday, so that young fans aren't tempted to take a day off school to meet her.
