Christopher Lee's "tease"

Christopher Lee has been very tricky about speaking to the possibility of his playing Dumbledore. From his official site:
While the press say that he has ruled himself out of the bidding to play Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films - or lost out to his Two Towers co-star Sir Ian McKellen or Michael Gambon - Mr Lee himself says that he never speaks about future projects.

"I am not saying I am doing it. I am not saying I am not" he says teasingly. I am superstitious and I never talk about future projects until they are signed and sealed." His name is associated at this time with other 4 or 5 big projects, all of which he won't talk about.

Hey now. We never ruled him out. I have absoulutely no idea on this front - but remember Ian McKellen only said another knight was considering, not signed. I don't think Lee is a knight, but I could be wrong. He's been a top contender for the big D, as has been Michael Gambon... The timing of this article about Lee as Dumbledore is what's interesting - it was posted on 1/19, far after we stopped hearing about the possiblity of him in Harry Potter movies.
