'Deathly Hallows: Part 1' short-listed for Visual Effects Oscar

It has been revealed today that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 has been shortlisted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for Best Visual Effects at this years Oscars, along with six other films:

The final three nominations will be announced Jan. 25, 2011 for a Febuary 27, 2011 Oscar Presentation at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
