As we previously announced, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I is scheduled to be released in 3D. We can now confirm this is also the case with Part II, and that both will be available in IMAX 3D upon their respective release dates.
This news comes along with some twenty movies Warner Brothers has signed on for IMAX releases in the coming years:
Under the agreement, Warner Bros. movies that will be released in Imax are: Legends of the Guardian, The Owls of Ga'Hoole 3-D (Sept. 24, 2010); Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (3-D) (Nov. 19, 2010); Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (3-D) (July 15, 2011); Happy Feet 2 (3-D) (Nov. 18, 2011); and The Hobbit (Dec. 2013). Warner Bros. and Imax also plan to release an additional 15 films over the course of 2011, 2012 and 2013, including Gravity, Dark Shadows, Fury Road, Batman 3, and Superman.
