An interesting questionopens in new window seems to be making the rounds in the Harry Potter world which begs to question if fans will still go and see the remaining movies once they know the end of the series.

With the release of the last book in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on July 21st and still three movies to be released (Order of the Phoenix will be released on July 11th) fans will know the ending of the series before the last movie has seen the light of day.

It would seem that Warner Bros. is not fazed by this and president Alan Horn points out that fans knew of Dumbledore’s demise in the last book before the fourth movie was released:

Whatever happens to Harry Potter, I would not anticipate it hurting the movie or future movies in any way.

Horn also noted that James Cameron's 1997 Titanic was a blockbuster even though it was well known that the luxury liner sank, killing most of its passengers. And, Horn said, fans of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings knew the ending of the trilogy but still turned out in force for the films.

So, will knowing what happens to our favorite characters stop you from seeing the rest of the movies?
