To add to the many reviewsopens in new window for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire we have two more - USA Today and Roger Ebert from Ebert and Roeper. Each of these new reviews are positive and note that Newell's direction, while different, than CuarĂ³n it is a welcomed treat.

From USA Todayopens in new window - 3 out of 4 stars:

Ralph Fiennes is a terrifying Lord Voldemort, the evil wizard who killed Harry's parents and commands the fearsome Death Eaters. It is his first appearance in adult, humanized form, and the metamorphosis is chilling.

The climactic scene where Harry duels with Voldemort packs an emotional wallop, as does Harry sobbing over the body of a competitor.

From Roger Ebert - 3.5 out of 4 stars:

Such varied notes serve him well in Goblet, which explores a wide emotional range. He balances delicately between whimsy and the ominous, on the uncertain middle ground where Harry lives, poised between fun at school, teenage romance and the dark abyss.
