Sneak peek of Raincoast's 'HBP' contest

Canadian Harry Potter publisher Raincoast Books will be announcing their Half-Blood Prince contest this week, which includes the chance for a cub reporter and guardian to win a trip to Edinburgh to meet author JK Rowling and participate in the Children's Press Conference on July 17, HPANA has learned.

The grand prize also provides roundtrip airfare, four nights accommodation, ground transportation and attendance for the cub reporter at the midnight reading by Rowling and a signed copy of book six.

Canadians aged eight to 16 are eligible to win when the contest starts on June 1. A special password must be obtained by visiting various Canadian bookstores, Amazon.caopens in new window or Raincoast's web siteopens in new window.

Other contests in Canada include Chapters/Indigo's "Get It First" sweepstakesopens in new window and The Globe and Mail's "Secret Password"opens in new window event, giving Canadian fans three chances to meet Jo and win other great prizes.
