IGN.com has posted a preview of what's to come in the new 'Prisoner of Azkaban' game for XBOX, PS2, and others.
The game features scripted events and a linear storyline, but you retain a lot of freedom relating to what you want to do or where you want to go. A night and day system moves the semester along. The game also employs real-time weather effects including rain and snow and these are meant to illustrate the change of season. In addition, EA UK is exploring the option of implementing dynamic environments that become altered over time. During the day Harry goes to his classes, rises to the various spell challenges, which usually involve puzzles and combat, and advances. He also plays Quidditch. When the sun sets, though, you have the option of going to sleep or exploring the grounds to your heart's content.
They have also included some pictures of the scenes that will be on the game.

There are also others included in the actual preview itself. It shows that EA really takes pride in making the games for this series.
