Bulgarian actress Maya Bezhanska will be a juror on the casting panel for Viktor Krum, according to novinite.com.
A large number of kids are expected to attend the casting call for the international Quidditch star in the fourth Harry Potter film, Goblet of Fire, being held Feb. 4 and 5. Casting director Victor Bozhinov said they'll be looking for 15-19 year old "swarthy boys" in good health:
Their appearance must answer to a certain extent the not-so-flattering description of the character in the book - dark, bushy eyebrows, a crooked nose and a slouch.
Some knowledge of English is also obligatory, but perfect use is not required. We all know how well Krum speaks it.
And while becoming an international celebrity is likely for the boy who wins the part, a large salary is not, said Bozhinov. "Judging by the pay Bulgarian actors get by starring in foreign productions, I do not expect the Bulgarian Viktor Krum to get the hefty pay of a Hollywood star," he said.
The Bulgarian auditions are the first of three stages, the last two being in London after whittling the talent pool down to a few lucky candidates.
