Further voicing her discontent, Harry Potter author JK Rowling takes on Scotland's parliamentopens in new window in her efforts to improve care for Scots suffering with Multiple Sclerosis:

Harry Potter author JK Rowling has been campaigning at the Scottish parliament today for better services for people with Multiple Sclerosis.

She said: "People with MS in Scotland really are experiencing the kind of neglect I feel my mother suffered and her quality of life could and should have been much better."

As reported eariler, JK Rowling is expected to be the guest of honor at the High Society Gala Dinneropens in new window by the MS Society of Scotlandopens in new window next week, November 28, 2003, where they will auction a chance to be an extra in the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (including a tour of the set) to benefit their cause. Additional undisclosed "completely unique Harry Potter items" donated by the author are to be auctioned as well.
