Thanks to Brenda, who wrote in to tell everyone:

For those who ordered Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix from Borders, if you get a call asking you to press one for more information... do it. It's a message from Jim Dale. The stores have a prerecorded message reminding you to pick up your book at Borders on Saturday the 21st. It's a quick and simple message but it made me smile when I heard his voice on my phone.

Here's text from the official press releaseopens in new window just issued by Borders:

With only four days remaining before the release of the fifth book in JK Rowling's Harry Potter series on Saturday, June 21, Borders Books & Music customers across the nation who pre-reserved their copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix are receiving special e-mail and voicemail messages featuring the voice of Harry Potter audio book series, Jim Dale. Both messages remind fans to enjoy midnight parties at all 415 Borders Books & Music locations on Friday, June 21, and to claim their pre-reserved copy by end of day Sunday, June 22. The e-mail message also features an exclusive excerpt of the book read by acclaimed Potter narrator Dale.

Speaking of Jim Dale: As previously reported, IGN/FilmForce has posted the first segment of its interview with Mr. Daleopens in new window, who voices the American Harry Potter audiobook series:

To a generation of children raised on the Harry Potter phenomenon, Jim Dale gives voice to literally hundreds of their favorite characters on the Potter audio books.

To my generation, he was the villainous Dr. Terminus in Pete's Dragon – whose plan to dissect Elliott for his very valuable dragon parts still brings a shiver to my spine (and a memory of the wonderful song that accompanied the nefarious plot).

Read the interview at the link above. Thanks to TLC.
