I just received an e-mail from Alivan's Master Wandmakersopens in new window, the wonderfully fansite-supportive company that makes lovely handmade magic wands and brooms for Harry Potter fans around the world:

Hope all is going well. I have noticed HPANA.com seems to be doing very well, and we are excited about that... great job!

We got some very fun and exciting news yesterday. A planner from the NBC Today series called about their shows next week, which will feature two or three Harry Potter segments (Katie Couric is in Scotland interviewing J.K. Rowling). They want to use Alivan's wands and brooms in their segments as props and giveaways to kids involved in the segments! We, of course, are sending a bunch to them, and the bottom line is that Alivan's will be seen next week on the Today Show during the Harry Potter segments.

So far we are being told that there will be one segment on Tuesday and for sure there will be a HP trivia segment on Thursday where the wands will be used by the contestants, and brooms will be handed out as prizes.

Super congratulations to Alivan's. It's great to see them doing so well, since they are so supportive of HPANA and many other Harry Potter sites out there. Thanks for the heads-up, Dave! We'll be sure to watch.
