After numerous reports, and fake accounts, we can now confirm that J.K. Rowling has officially joined
twitter.
Reps for Jo explained:
It is Jo. She opened it to put an end to all the fake ones and won't be twittering often.
Jo further explains via Twitter, that she joined in an effort to stop impersonators on the popular social network site:
I am told that people have been twittering on my behalf, so I thought a brief visit was in order just to prevent any more confusion! However, I should flag up now that although I could twitter endlessly, I'm afraid you won't be hearing from me very often, as pen and paper is my priority at the moment.

I think it's sick that some people would gain pleasure impersonating someone else. That is one reason why I would never join one of those 'gab' places.
I'm glad she did it though, just to stop others from pretending to be something they are not.

Interesting, that makes me want to join Twitter now since I haven't yet. I can't stand all these people who claim to be someone they're not, especially famous people. I'm glad she joined and put an end to it. As for the pen and paper remark, wow I hope she is writing something new and hopefully more Harry Potter, that would make me so happy!

Pen and paper? Hope that it will a good writing, if she publishes a book or something like that, I mean.
