This is a question for the Americans out there. The documentary is not planned to come out in Australia any time soon, so I was wondering if any of you know whether the American ABC puts up copies of its documentaries on the internet after they are shown on TV? I'd really love to see it. Thanks.

Should be a very interesting documentary. Wonder how up to date it will be. Whether is will be the same or updated with a few snipits. Sounds like not. I imagaine there will be some great ads for HP films, etc, since it is on ABC.
As to the question on the show, ABC does put some shows up for viewing on their site. Not sure if this one will make it, since it is not really theirs.

I remember seeing this before. It was an interesting portrayal of her life.
I'd like to see an update and find out what she is doing now. Is she writing anthing at all? What does she do with her days now? Public speaking, have lunch with the Queen and the First Lady, support her charities?
Inquiring minds would like to know!
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

Watched it last night. J.K. Rowling is such a lovely person.
There's a hilarious bit where she's shoe shopping, and she says "why do women LOVE shoes?". Amen, Sister! Ha ha ha!
I wish I taped it!

I watched it yesterday and it was fantastic. I didn't watch it in ABC channel because I don't have cable. But it was airing from ABC channel to a Canadian channel called, A, and it was highly interesting and emotional to watch.

Excellent documentary. I think my favourite thing about JKR is that she really does appreciate how lucky she is that people appreciated her talent... it would have been pretty easy for someone like her to grow a huge ego.

This was very interesting to watch, though the ending got cut off for some reason. Her life really was dark and depressing before all this happened - and not just because of financial struggles. Also, I love how she enjoys discussing with fans more than being at fancy functions and dressing up - go Jo!

Madam Marsh says:
I wasn't sure I wanted to see the program--I've been sort of boycotting JKR since the last book, which I viewed as a betrayal of everything she had accomplished and led up to in the previous six. The writing wasn't up to her brilliant standard and her facile resolutions to a lot of complex plots and her peremptory disposal of some beloved characters (only Dobby got the respect and care he deserved), made me furious. BUT. I decided to watch and I have to say that some of what she said about her decisions in ending the story made me feel better about her. I still don't like most of the book, but I appreciated her idea that Harry's ultimate survival represents the courage it takes for a person to come back from war or tragedy or great trauma and go on with life. Also, one remark she made while she drew a family tree diagram, gave a tantalizing hint for the future. Showing Harry's children's names, she pointed out Albus Severus and said that she was most interested in him.
Once in the forums I read a saw a comment from a super-observant reader who found Albus Severus Potter's initials most interesting. I had failed to notice this but my sister Snapesorceress and I thought this possible hint for the future might be a saving grace for the devastating disappointment we had suffered with DH. Now JKR has pointed out this same character and, knowing how she loves to make puzzles for us, I think the guy in the forum (don't remember his name--sorry) picked up on something important. I would spell out here what Snapesorceress and I think this hint means, but it might be more fun for everyone to ponder on it and work it out for themselves. We hope very much that we're right and that Jo has big plans for something new. So I was quite glad I saw the documentary and if you haven't seen it but get the chance, take it. It's well-done and she really is great.
