Hmmm. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I tend to expect each movie to get generally darker as each movie has seen Voldemort's power grow. At least after Goblet of Fire, anyway. All I can say is from what I've seen it seems pretty dark to me...

I guess only time will tell if this one is 'darker' than any of the others.
From all of the pictures that have been released, it certainly looks 'darker'.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

It really isn't darker you know, because of the romances and stuff.

Well, I agree with what Tom Felton said in an interview: It is getting more of everything. Romance, fun, action... and darkness. So, while the percentage of darkness might not change there could still be more of it than in the last movies. I certainly hope so. It's appropriate because of the cause the story takes in the books.
At least the last two films will HAVE to be darker than GoF and OotP. Otherwise that would be ridiculous.

I agree the film should be darker still, although there are humerous moments. But if it is darker than the other films, why is it being rated PG?

I think HBP is going to just as dark as the other movies were it's just with this one, there is a bit more laughs and new romance. I think it's going to be brilliant, the best one yet.

I agree, people keep saying that HP movies are getting darker and darker. If there is any movie that is gonna be dark, it's Deathly Hallows.

It would be an even bigger step forward if they'd replace Yates as director.

Well,I think its subjective, whether we find it darker or not. However you could say its a bit lighter coz of the romance and everything. But for me its darker for the same reasons,if you get my drif;just look at my icon. That's just me,PEACE and RESPECT!

I just hope all this waiting and hype hasn't made us too hypervigulant in our expectations of the movie. I can't wait.

No darker than other movies? It should be darker than the other movies! At least in my opinion. This should be where everything gets really dark. It'd better be darker.
