Some new images from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie have appeared online. The images show Snape, Malfoy & Filch and the trio in different locations.
Also, word has come from Emma Thompson's representatives that Sibyll Trelawney will not be appearing
in the movie.

She's fairly important in this one, albeit not having a HUGE amount of "onstage" time in the book... c'mon, the bit about the sherry bottles, the Room of Requirement, and most especially Seer Overheard!!! Plus I think Emma Thompson is awesome, but anyway... grrr...

I think it's pretty clear what the picture of Harry looking in that trunk/cabinet/chest of drawers is, right? He's looking for a bezoar, I suppose, as there are bottles of coloured liquid behind him (suggesting a Potions Master's trunk) and the trunk has a big S on it. Also, look carefully and you'll see he looks agitated, a bit worried perhaps?

Trelawney does not have a big part in the book but the Seer Overheard is a big part, right before they go to the cave. I guess they can still reveal Snape overheard her prediction without her but not as well as it happend in the book I don't think. There has not been that many pictures for this movie I remember more from Phoenix, hope the trailer come out soon.

Um... hello! Sybill was the one who made the prophecy! So she is VERY important, and they chose not to put her in the movie. It's ashame. And I like the the Room of Requirement sherry bottle part too! I do enjoy Divination, but I can do without it. However, I am still wondering what they will do about the prophecy part without Trelwney there. I am still excited for this movie though!

Anyone know why the Christmas party bit with Snape and Malfoy is black and white? It looked that way at least.

So Trelawney isn't included in the movie? So how is going Harry to learn about who told Voldemort where his parents where hiding? That's something very important. I hope at least they keep that, even if he finds it out in other way.
