J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, helped to raise £320,436 ($628,372) for multiple sclerosis at a charity event
this past weekend. One of the items up for auction was the chance to be immortalized as a wizard or witch in a portrait at the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Florida.
Also in attendance at the event were Rebus author Ian Rankin, singer Charlotte Church and actress Joely Richardson.

Good for you, Jo! She is such a good role model for the rest of the world- while most put on a charitable face and sit on their money, she raises money and gives to charities at every oportunity she gets!

Now that I would really like to win. I could just see me hanging on the wall in the castle framed in gold and silver.
I haven't heard much about Charolette Church in a long time. She has such a beautiful voice. I couldn't believe that those beautiful tones came out of such a young girl, although she must be close to twenty by now.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!
