A new report from the set of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has appeared online in which the author describes meeting Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton, as well as visiting the Great Hall, the Burrow and Diagon Alley.
You can read the full report here
, but a few snippets are below:
I saw The Burrow both the inside and outside sets; the outside set had been burnt out in a Death Eater attack. The inside of The Burrow was amazing, the attention to detail. I climbed up the stairs to Ron's room, the bedrooms aren't there but the corridors have doors coming off them with pictures and ornaments. One of the doors had a picture of mushroom on it. Downstairs there were two clocks, one with the whole family's names on and scissors for hands, the other was smaller with a list of jobs to do. There were even postcards to Ron on the bookcase, howlers (or just letters like paper aeroplanes), a wizarding newspaper on a coffee table and children's painting of magical creatures framed on the walls. The guy showing us around said that it was the hardest set to build because nothing was straight or regular sized.
We walked around Diagon Alley. Ollivanders had been destroyed, all the windows were smashed and it was trashed. The shops had complete interiors in case the camera caught a glimpse inside by accident. Quality Quidditch supplies had a Quidditch equipment display, uniforms on dummies and drawers full of clothing. Florean Fortescue's had fake ice cream sundaes lining the walls on shelves. Florish and Blotts had hundreds of books inside the doorway piled up and on shelves. The large books in the windows are actually Watford phone directories covered!
Thanks to the Snitchseeker
for the tip.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens in theatres November 21st, 2008.

Hmm...in that report it says the outside of the Burrow was burnt out in a Death Eater Attack. Does the Burrow get attacked in HBP?

Wow, sounds fantastic so far!! And that's quite the picture of Tom - definitely captures the Malfoy look! I like how it's not the Aaron Carter style, but it looks better than the completely slicked-back style from the forst couple movies. And it definitely makes him look older too.

The detail that she gave to describing everything in her set report was marvelous! We are deeply indebted to her for renewing our interest in this film, because Warner Brothers has failed to do so thus far...until the expected release of the trailer for the sixth film later this week.

But what's all this about Narcissa having black hair with blonde streak? She's supposed to be blonde to provide a contrast to Bellatrix! But I suppose I can see the symbolism in it. Still...

HufflepuffActress says:
Two things that I noted that seemed odd was that the Burrow was burned on the outside because of a Death Eater attack and I cannot remember that happening in the book.
The other was if that woman was Narcissa double the hair is wrong. Black with a white streak surely that is not Narcissa.

Wow, "There were even postcards to Ron on the bookcase" <- that's one hell of a lot of detail going into this!
Reading this: "We saw Hedwig, it's a boy and he's very old now, losing feathers on one wing and they're going to retire him after this film." nearly made me cry 'cause I was just thinking about how, even if they used this owl in the next film, he'd only be there at the beginning of the film anyway :(
I'd like to meet that owl while he's alive.

Very nice. And we just learned soemthing. They said they won't be featuring all the stories about people dissapearing or being killed or attacked. That they'd show one attack that would convey it all. And obviously, it's going to be on the weasley family.
