'Half-Blood Prince' headed to IMAX

The IMAX corporation confirmed
on Friday that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be have a simultaneous release date in theaters as well as IMAX theaters on November 21st, 2008.
Richard L. Gelfond, IMAX Co-Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer, spoke briefly about the version:
Last summer, Order of the Phoenix was released in IMAX theaters, and broke several box office records with it's success.

That is great news! OOTP was great in IMAX with 3D. It added that extra touch that made the battle scene so much more realistic. It really brought the scene to life. Can't wait for Half Blood Prince!

You know...I have NEVER seen a movie in an IMAX theater, and none the less a Harry Potter movie. I really want to see it since they say it's like ten times better, maybe I'll get my butt out there this year???

It is absolutely necessary that HBP be available in IMAX theatres. It's a given... it shouldn't even be available in regular theatres anymore ( well... yes it should since there isn't an IMAX theatre near me)

No surprise here! The ONLY way to see HP is on IMAX! If you haven't seen any of the movies on IMAX before, be sure you do for HBP... it is so worth it! And to know that DH will be in two parts - most likely in IMAX - priceless!!
