Tonight, the 50th annual Grammy Awards were held, and Jim Dale has won
in the category of "Best Spoken Word Album for Children" for his work on the U.S. audiobook version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
This will be Mr. Dale's second Grammy award, as he had previously won in 2000 for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Congratulations Jim!

He has a medium-deep voice with a bit of a drawl, very pleasant to listen to. Not gravely, live Freeman, although his voice was different on the last album, a bit more papery.
The thing that sets him apart, I think, is that he does a different voice for every character; even if there are 50 characters, you can tell exactly who's speaking, even if the text doesn't mention it.
I've got the whole series on my iTunes at work.
