Filming for the sixth Harry Potter film, Half-Blood Prince started in Lacock, UK today. According to a report
the residents are very excited about the prospect of seeing the stars and that a number of the houses have been painted a darker color to make them appear more sinister to shoot scenes with the ghoulish Death Eaters.
A member of the film crew said:
The light will look like moonlight and it is made up of lots of smaller lights inside to give that strong effect.
Scenes are scheduled to be shot from 5 pm until 5 am each day until Saturday morning and if you happen to capture any pictures of the filming please send our way.
UPDATE: Thanks to TLC you can read a report from the set, which mentions the high security and props for filming.
UPDATE II: Another report from filming is now online, which states that Daniel was onset.

If I found out that Dan was coming on my street to film HBP, I would go crazy! I probably would delay filming so much because I'd be staring out my front window at Dan and the crew in amazement, and the director probably wouldn't want that in the movie.
I hope we get some pictures on Dan on the set, or of the set itself, I would love to see it! I can't wait until the movie comes out! Such a long way away...

We've got pics of two different kinds of homes, one of which is Cantax House and apparently Slughorn's. We've got reports that three main cast members were on the set for filming, and one of whom was Ralph Fiennes playing Voldemort and the other was Dan. I'm officially getting confused.
What the heck are they filming??? Is it the scene when Dumbledore and Harry walk up to Slughorn's house? Is it the scene when Harry and Dumbledore are at the Gaunts' home and Tom Riddle Sr. walks by and Ralph Fiennes just happens to be playing him? Or is it something entirely different? Because I don't remember Voldemort being in the story ever except when he's young and then sort of older. He never appears as Voldemort in full-on costume in HBP. So what gives? Why is Ralph Fiennes on the bloody set?!!! And if he's there during the scene when Dumbledore and Harry go to Slughorn's, then I want explanation for why they are adding scenes that are not necessary when there are other bits of the story that OUGHT to be in that could get cut down due to this little tinkering!

I love that filming has begun! I love the idea that many of the houses in the area were painted darker colors to help set the mood. I wonder who did the painting? If they need help I'd paint houses just to be on-set!! hehe

I wonder if they will repaint the house for people. Of course I would leave it so I could say My house was painted specially so it could appear in HBP!

Wow. I can't believe we're already waiting for the HBP movie. It feels like it hasn't been that long since we were all hoping for Disney or WB to make a movie out of the first three books... and here we are almost a decade later in the middle of filming for Book 6! And then only one more to go! It's crazy!
