In a new interview
with Harry Potter cast members Katie Leung, Matthew Lewis, Bonnie Wright and Evanna Lynch each answer questions from fans in reference to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie.
Is it difficult being the underdog in the first few movies, then in this one you get a big role as part of Dumbedore's Army?
Matt: I enjoyed playing Neville in the first few films - making people laugh. I love doing that. Then this year to be given more responsibility in terms of the drama and the motion of the film and the action at the end - it's just been a big step up for me. The challenge has been wonderful and I've really, really enjoyed the last year and hopefully it'll continue.
Ginny's character has developed really well leading up to the important role in book six. Are you looking forward to that? What do you think of the way that Ginny's character has changed throughout the last five films?
Bonnie: In the sixth book and what happens in the relationship with Harry. It really shows she's not the little sister anymore - she's become herself. When I was reading it I wasn't expecting it at all - it was nice. I liked how it came through, as obviously in the first book she showed a liking towards Harry.
Additionally, stars Oliver and James Phelps, as well as Katie attended the Turkish premiere of the movie recently.

I completely agree- Neville really does come into pace here in OotP, as does Ginny. I really like Ginny as a character, she is a perfect match for Harry. I like how she doesn't hold it against Harry, the fact that he MUST find the Horcruxes, and MUST break it off, I think that she took it really very well, and was perfect for Harry. I think that Bonnie and Matt both play their parts very well, and I don't believe that anybody could do it better than they.

As much as I like the way Ginny's role progresses throughout the books, I think she's been a tad underplayed in the movies up till the fifth one, in which she was still not represented as strongly as she could have been. I'm just hoping that the next two films follow-up on this progression to make Ginny the full-blown character that she is in the text.

It's hard to imagine that, that there are fans who have yet to see this fantastic film. I can't wait for "Half Blood Prince." I know they haven't filming yet, but I'm still excited.

I think as actors they have done very well. I'm glad in the 6th and 7th book they have much bigger roles. They're very likeable characters.

Great interview! I agree with Matt on his perception of Neville, he's really coming into his own! I like how tough and assertive Neville has become, he's not the "wimp" anymore! I also agree that Ginny's character is terribly underplayed in the films and I hope we see more of her in the 6th movie! As for Evanna, I love her! She's so wonderful, she really is Luna!

Matt's view on Neville is nice. I like the way he chooses to play the character as being the funny one, as it's been in the book. I also like the fact that Bonnie thinks Ginny has clearly changed in this book. Can't wait until the movie comes out.

I just had a thought about Katie Leung, I wonder how she feels being the "bad guy" in this film as she is the one who snitches out the DA, and not her friend Marietta. I don't care that it was the veratiserum, she did it none of the others did. To go from Harry's first kiss/crush to snitch has to hurt, but I bet it was fun for her to play.
Bonnie is right, Ginny is becoming her own person in the next book and I am looking forward to how they handle the scene between she and Harry. Especially since they seem determined to get rid of Quidditch.
